Is it necessary that I promote only those products and services that are related to my website?
No, it is not necessary at all. However, common sense dictates that you have the best chance at conversion if you have relevant and powerful copy to pre-sell the ad on your page.
How can I best promote the affiliate products on my website or blog?
You can do this in a number of ways. The best way is through intelligently crafted copy that is compelling enough for visitors to read and take action by clicking on the affiliate link. An affiliate program is a form of marketing and sales. Under an affiliate arrangement, a publisher gets paid a commission by the advertiser for leads or sales generated by the publisher. It is a great way for publishers to make money as it does not involve setting up stores and holding inventory. Advertisers can reach out to a broader audience for less and expand their reach exponentially.
Does Revenue Curve offer two-tier affiliate programs?
Yes, under a two-tier affiliate program existing affiliates get paid for getting new referrals. Not only this, you get paid every time the affiliate referred by you makes a sale. Please know that a two-tier program is not a form of MLM even though some jurisdictions may regard it as such.
How do I choose the most appropriate programs to join?
It depends a lot on your interest and the niche that you are covering. You should feel comfortable promoting the products and services put forth by the advertiser. There are many products and many advertisers to choose from so choose the ones that you think will appeal best to your target audience.
Is there a right and a wrong way to do affiliate marketing?
Yes, indeed there is. The right way is to ideally have your own domain name website and be genuinely concerned about the products and services you promote. Do not cram your web pages with affiliate links. Inform your readers and assist them in making educated decisions. Keep in touch with the advertisers to learn about the best deals they are offering. Never spam your intended audience; it could land you into legal trouble. Be sure that you fulfill all the conditions laid down by the advertiser like terms and phrases that you cannot bid on for PPC. Some advertisers may have a minimum age requirement.
All advertising programs open to people anywhere in the world?
Yes, this is one of the most beautiful and liberating aspects of online affiliate marketing. You are not restricted by geographical boundaries. However, there will always be an affiliate program or two that the advertisers prefer to keep US-only.
